We Invite Mentors and Students to Take Part in Job Shadow Days

For the second time, the Association of European Businesses launches CSR project Job Shadow Days in May 2015.

What are Job Shadow Days?

Job Shadow Days ("to follow like a shadow") is a way for a student to get acquainted with a profession by following an experienced professional (a mentor) in the real working environment during a working day. The student will be able to communicate not only with his mentor but also with other professionals, as well as to obtain detailed information about the job.

What are the advantages for companies and students?

• Students will see the real working environment and will "test" their interest in a chosen profession or a field of activity, and subsequently will be able to adjust their academic plan (optional subjects, course or graduation projects, trainings and internships).
• Mentors will familiarize students with the company's brand and philosophy, career opportunities, and remember why and how they chose their own profession.

Whenare Job Shadowing Days?

During the week from May 11th to 15th, 2015, in any day agreed by the mentor and the student.

Who can be amentor?

Employees of the members of the Association of European Businesses and specialists in private companies (from employees to top managers) working in Marketing, Law, GR, HR, Economics, Finance, Design, or Architecture.  If you want to be a mentor, please contact Ms. Katsiaryna Syrayezhkina at katsiaryna.syrayezhkina@aebbel.by by April 20.

Who can be a "shadow"?

3-5 year students of Belarusian universities majoring in Marketing, Law, GR, HR, Economics, Finance, Design, or Architecture. Please send your CV in Russian indicating your professional area to Ms. Katsiaryna Syrayezhkina at katsiaryna.syrayezhkina@aebbel.by by May 4. The AEB commission together with the mentors will select 10-15 "shadows" and will contact only the chosen candidates. The list of interested mentors will be published on the AEB website on Monday, April 20.

Job Shadow Days are free of charge.
