AEB has sent its proposals to amend the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the safety of chemical products"

The Association of European Businesses, within the framework of the public discussion of the Draft Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Union "On Amendments to the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union" On the Safety of Chemical Products "TR EAEU 041/2017" held by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, sent its comments and suggestions.

1. It was proposed to clarify the amount of substances that should be excluded from the registration of low-tonnage chemical products and establish the wording: “1 ton or less”;

2. Application of exemptions for substances classified as carcinogens and / or mutagens and / or reprotoxicants of classes 1 and 2 is not supported;

3. The introduction of a monitoring and conformity assessment system was not supported as it does not correspond to the world practice of chemicals management and a number of other proposals. imported in an amount of 1 ton or less.
