The Association of European Business (AEB) took part in the meeting of the Latvian business club held on June 12th at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Belarus. Representatives of the Latvian construction, banking, consulting, tourism and hospitality industries learned about the AEB strategy and forthcoming AEB events planned for 2014.
During the presentation, the Vice Chairman of the AEB Maryna Barouka brought up a question of foreign trade regulations between Latvia and Belarus. Latvian businessmen expressed their concern about some aspects of the certification of imported goods, restrictions imposed on the import of goods and other protective measures against foreign goods.
The AEB staff will work on the solutions of the problems that affect economic relations between Latvian and Belarusian businesses and will presented their findings at the upcoming annual seminar Business Opportunities of the Republic of Belarus to be held in Riga in autumn of 2014.
The Association of European Business expresses its gratitude to the Latvian Investment and Development Agency and the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Belarus for the wonderful opportunity to participate in the meeting.
