Foreign Ministry sent AEB proposals on plant protection products for consideration to the Eurasian Economic Commission

Despite the decision following the results of a joint meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health and the State Customs Committee to refuse to support the position of the AEB on the exclusion of the wording "Plant protection products" from the title of section 2.30 of Appendix 2 to the decision of the EEC Board dated April 21, 2015 No. 30, the Association reiterated sent her reasoned position to the Foreign Ministry, where she indicated a possible solution to the current situation.

The AEB proposed to amend the title of Section 1.4 and Section 2.30, specifying that these acts will not apply to all plant protection products, but only to those containing persistent organic pollutants.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported this position of the AEB and officially sent it to the address of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The proposals will be considered at a meeting of the Subcommittee on Customs Tariff, Non-Tariff Regulation and Protective Measures of the Advisory Committee on Trade under the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on April 2, 2020.
