A new stage in the implementation of the AEB pilot green project

The Association team conducted a series of activities aimed at promoting the environmental values and the principles of the green economy, increasing the responsibility of the dairy-processing segment in Vitebsk region. In particular, for the "Fruit Flavors Factory" LLC, a technological part of the design documentation was developed to accommodate the production line for the processing of curd whey by the nano-filtration method at existing factory areas.

The factory received the conclusion of the State institution "Vitebsk zonal center of hygiene and epidemiology" on the conformity of the project for placing the equipment on the existing enterprise to sanitary norms and rules, the requirements of the legislation.

The subsequent search for equipment suppliers, corresponding to the developed project documentation was not successful. Such equipment is not produced in the Republic of Belarus. Foreign analogues far exceed the financial possibilities of the project initiative. Due to the lack of co-financing, the project participants were forced to suspend cooperation. However, the team of the Association of European Business jointly with the UNDP project coordinators decided to resume the search for a partner while maintaining the project idea and the expected results.

Having evaluated the objective factories, JSC "Milkavita" was chosen as the main partner of the Association. The enterprise will carry out a technical re-equipment of the dry whey production department, which will result in the increase in the volume of curd whey processing up to 110 tons per day (additional withdrawal of 50 tons of curd whey from the turnover).Due to the lack of technical equipment, the named component could not be utilized earlier.

Realization of the project together with JSC "Milkavita" will allow to produce a new import-substituting product "Whey-fat mixture with fat mass fraction of 30-40%". It will be used as the main component for the replacement of whole milk in the production of feed for farm animals.
