The AEB sent proposals to the draft law on tobacco products

As part of the public discussion of the draft Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Tobacco Raw Materials, Tobacco, Non-Tobacco Nicotine-Containing Products, Electronic Smoking Systems and Liquids for Them, Systems for Tobacco Consumption", the Association submitted proposals for finalizing the draft.

The proposals included:

• retaining the right of trade entities engaged in the retail sale of food products through the organization of a retail network to retail nicotine-containing products and systems.
• setting a deadline for the entry into force of the Law - six months from the date of its official publication.
• indication of the need to conduct market research before introducing such significant regulation of the industry.
• the need to eliminate the gap in regulating the wholesale trade of tobacco products.
