The AEB Explained to Finnish Business How it Can Advance Interests of Foreign Investors

At the meeting with participation of the Ambassador of Finland to Lithuania and Belarus Harri Mäki-Reinikka of October 3, 2014, Finnish companies and investors discussed the business climate in Belarus and current projects on bilateral cooperation between our countries.
Katerina Syraezhkina, the Head of International Cooperation with the Association of European Businesses, told the representatives of Finnish business about the opportunities the AEB creates to advance the interests of foreign companies and how it builds cooperation with national authorities.
During the discussion, Finnish businessmen, investors and diplomatic corps have raised important questions concerning the Belarusian business environment, based on their experience in the country. Victoria Mihnevich, the attorney from the law firm Sorainen, highlighted legal changes associated with doing business in Belarus.
The management of the Finnish hockey team, who also attended the meeting, summed up the business results of their first month in the Continental Hockey League.
Participants of the business meeting emphasized the importance of suchjoint business arrangements to exchange experiences and the need topublicize changes in the legislation and investment opportunities inthe country. In its turn, the AEB confirmed that it can assist inco-organization of such meetings and act as a dialogue platform todevelop a collective position of European business and itsrepresentation in the government.
